Wikipedia releases mobile web app

Wikipedia_logoWikipedia the biggest wiki on the internet with millions of pages pack with information about anything and everything, has finally released a web app that can be viewed properly on mobile devices. Of course there have been many attempts at applications including some coming to the Apple App Store.

The app is pretty basic, so it will work on any device! It also means it works well on a slow connection, but also makes for a pretty rubbish user experience. They have been clever with the structure of the articles as they have been split into several pages to make browsing faster but also save on the amount of data sent to the client.

What do you think of it? Do you use any other client applications for your mobile device?
