Review: TwitterLeague

What is TwitterLeague? It is a simple web app where you can create a league of any Twitter users that is based on Twitter follower counts. For instance check out the diggnation league embedded below.

Instead of the snipped of JavaScript embedded above you can also get an XML feed of the league. This means you can display it however you like as it has all the information available in the JavaScript version including the profile image urls, username, full name and follower count. Have a look at the example below, also taken from the Diggnation league.

Diggnation league XML feed

For now it is in invite-only beta and therefore needs an invitation code in order to login. So I have on here just for the readers of this blog! But hurry, there are only 500 invites!

Go to twitterleague.com and enter the invite code: techjuicer

  1. HA!! It was only a matter of time before this would happen. This is extremely amusing and it
looks like I’ll be spending the next hour or so playing with this new app. :)

  7. It is only for fun. It is definitely not a Google killer (quoted from the TechCrunch article written about TwitterLeague). It is literally some fun that centres around the competitive nature of Twitter Follower counts.
