This Post Written With Windows Live Writer
Yes I just hear about this from the SarahInTampa.com blog. So thank you to Sarah for pointing this new tool out to me.
Windows Live Writer is a desktop app designed to make it easier to write your blog posts. Its compatible with a wide variety of blog types including
- Windows Live Spaces
- Blogger
- LiveJournal
- TypePad
- WordPress
- Radio Userland
- or one of many others.
Live Writer offers a WYSIWYG editor, easy photo insertion and you can even add Windows Live Local maps into a blog post. This new version offers many new features, including the following:
- Inline spell checking
- Table editing
- Ability to add categories
- Page authoring for WordPress and TypePad
- Support for excerpts and extended entries
- Improved hyperlinking and image insertion
- New APIs enabling custom extensions by weblog providers
- Automatic synchronization of local and online edits
- Integration with Windows Live Gallery
So as TechJuicer is a WordPress blog I thought i would give it a go. It was really easy to install. See the download page here. It takes about 5mins to initiate the first time you set up you blog, you type your site address, username and password then the program goes off to detarmine which blog you have and grabs the styles and everything.
Then when you start writing your post its like typing into a preview of the post. See the screen shot below!
Well i hope you can’t tell a difference between this post and all the otherwise otherwise i’ll be going back to the WordPress admin area!
