Joost Review: Part 2
This review is carrying on from part 1.
First of all I have to say that the program is very processor intensive. I mean my PC could be better and my broadband speed is not that good. But still Joost is fairly slow on my machine. You can’t see from the screen shots though.
When you start the program it launches fullscreen and just gives you a massive reminder thats its in beta, and also that its just for friends. Although by this point I don’t quite think that its just friends using it. Especially with the new invite system they have.

Next Joost launches straight back into the program you were watching last, in this case the WPT channel. Whne your watching and you move your mouse you see the some tools light up. These are numbered on the image below.

- This section of the screen shows the logo of the channel your watching. If you clicki the logo you get to see “interactive features” for the WPT channel it uses an HTML page integrated into Joost with information about the channel.
- The channels list and catalog are under this menu. Scroll down to see more about it.
- The main player options, move to full screen, change program, change channel, play pause and search function.
- Your widgets and other bits and bobs are under this menu.
My Channels
Under this menu you have 2 ways of looking for channels, the catalog view which has logos and samples or you can have the list view. Where you can just scroll down the list.
You will notice in my view there are some UK channels. As I am in the UK Joost have had to stop me watching certian channels due to the deals they struck and international laws. This means that in the US you might not be able to see UK channels.

My Joost
This section has all your widgets. This can be anything from the latest news, to instant messaging people who are watching the same channel. There is one other VERY important widget, the invite panel!!

That concludes Part 2. Wait to see Part 3 for more about Joost! Subscribe here.
